So, I realized what the error was in the pattern (two rows were printed twice in the instructions), so I started over. Near the end of the first repeat, I drop a stitch and cannot recover. Three hours more work down the toilet. I'm trying very hard to look at this as an exercise in character building. So I'm pouting while I put the project in time-out for a few days until I feel up to taking it on again. Team Fiber Madness has been temporarily sidelined one day into the Amazing Lace.

Oh that sucks! Haven’t we all been there? I really love that yarn, it is quite yummy to look at.

I don't have it handy, but I believe rows 42 & 43 were printed twice. Silva said that a few copies went out with that misprint and I was "lucky" enough to get one.

I just started the Diamond Fantasy shawl for the Amazing Lace. I’m worried by your discovery of errors. Could you please tell me the offending rows? Thanks so much! Joan

Oh I know how you feel! So far lace is about the only thing I can’t seem to figure out. I’m no knitting pro, but I’ve become pretty proficient at cables (w/o cable needles!) and k/p pattern stitches…but lace has always defied me. No matter how hard I try, I will forget a yarn over or decrease and screw everything up.
This would be ok, except I have yet to master frogging while knitting. I simply start over every time.

Totally not a propos of your post, but congrats on the new site and the more stylish look.
They misprint patterns?
