Was pleased as punch that I finally got my yarn today. One skein (1250 yds) of JaggerSpun Zephyr laceweight in Charcoal. It's a 50/50 wool/tussah silk mix and it's like buttah! What wasn't so cool was that I had totally forgotten to ask the person I ordered it from to wind it into a ball. [...]

The Amazing Lace is in a Holding Pattern
I'm waiting for the yarn I ordered. I emailed the vendor to ask when I could expect my package. When I got an email confirmation of the order, I was told it was being shipped the next day. The answer I got was not pleasing. It was basically, oh, I have [...]

Growing, Growing, Gone!
I must be growing as a knitter. Consider exhibit A, "The Second Frogging". Exhibit B will be called "Sock? What sock?" I was on the toe decreases for a top down sock, took a good critical look at it, and decided that I wasn't feeling it. What took me a week and a half [...]

Handspun Yarn on Sale
I just lowered the price on the handspun yarn I have for sale at Fiber Madness (my Etsy shop). I'm not entirely sure when I will have more, a lot depends on when construction is done at the house and I can take out my wool without worrying about drywall dust getting into it.

Sock It To Me One More Time!
I decided to broaden my horizons and am currently working on a pair of socks with a diamond lace pattern using Trekking XXL sock yarn (damn Area 51, I'm working on socks dammit!). Not sure if using such a busy colored yarn with a lace pattern is a great idea, but I think it will [...]

Area 51
AKA, a place to find UFO's. Sarah's post about her chronic UFO/WIP condition got me thinking about mine. I almost always have no less than 5 projects going on at one time. When I have a larger project (for example, and afghan), I tend to start another project, usually a smaller project, in the [...]
